Due to the increase in fuel bills and overall popularity of a unique feature there are more properties that benefit an open fire or wood burning stove. This includes rented properties which still require the minimum of an annual sweep to comply with insurance and housing legislation.

Properties that are due to be sold also require a safety certificate for any active fireplaces prior to a transfer of deed. This ensures that anyone buying the property has peace of mind regarding the fire from the day that they move in.

We are happy to offer regular contracts or block-bookings at a reduced rate to landlords and estate agents who have a portfolio of properties that comprise an active fireplace.

We cover all of South Wales, Bristol and South Gloucestershire and can send insurance documents and credentials required beforehand. A safety certificate stipulating whether or not the fire / chimney is safe to use will be issued which will also note any work that has been carried out. These certificates are valid for 12 months (unless otherwise stated, for example if the property has a thatched roof)
